Rebellion

A while back Michael told me that dogs in their teenage (human) years were rebellious, just like a teenager would be. I laughed and thought nothing of it until just recently. Now I am wondering, what happened to my sweet little boy? Let me just tell you of a few things he has been up to.

1. Burrowing his head in the garbage to see what he can find... no matter how many times I tell him to stop, he goes right back to doing it again.

2. He now has to have me stand right beside him as he eats his breakfast and dinner, after asking him to eat for the 17th time. No, I cannot be three yards away doing the dishes.. I'm hovering over him like I have nothing better to do.

3. Any toy we have given him lately has been shredded to pieces, within a matter of seconds our carpet is covered with white balls of stuffing.

4. Michael and I give him loves before we all go to sleep. He has a little bed on the floor where he sleeps. After kissing him goodnight, we tell him "Ziggy, go to your bed" and yes, he does know what it means. He used to be really good, but now when we say it he either goes to the foot of our bed and lays down or acts like he has a scratch so he doesn't have to jump down. (Mr. Attitude).
I actually could name quite a few more things, but I will not for a lack of time and mine and your sanity. Even though he's been quite the little rascal lately, I wouldn't trade him for a million dollars. It's amazing to me how I can be yelling at him one second and the next he is right at my feet wagging his tail with happiness. Dogs really are the epitome of unconditional love, one such animal we can all learn a thing or two from. :)

We LOVE it...

This is such a great show, Michael and I are seriously addicted. However, I was very upset last night when they voted Shay off. Yeah, Amanda still needed to be there, but common.. Shay is like double her size and so not ready to go home. Did this bug anyone else? Please tell me it did.

Halloween Party

My family started a tradition a few years ago, an annual family Halloween Party. We all come in costume, always anxious to see what Andy and Camille will be...(they keep it a surprise). It's a fun party where we laugh, talk, play games, and all enjoying eachothers' company.

Camille worked really hard making their costumes
this year, they looked awesome and might I add,
won the prize for best costumes!

I think my moms favorite thing about the party
is decorating the house all up... it's always so cute
and festive!
,

Carson was a bat, he loved this costume
because his grandma (my mom) made
it for him.

Wes was a Farmer and little Malia,
a Strawberry.

Morgan always has to watch Nightmare
Before Christmas when he comes to our house,
so naturally.. he was Jack Skellington.

Lucky was, well.. a hot dog of course!

Mike won...

We ate donuts off a string, bobbed for apples,
watched Garfields Halloween (my all-time favorite
when I was little) and made Haunted Houses.

Michaels construction knowledge sure came in
handy because... well, we won the prize for building
the best haunted house. haha...I'm really not trying
to brag Andy, Camille, Wes and Jess, really.

It was sure a blast, until next year!

Remembering Lisa...

As Mike and I have been remembering the fun times we spent with you, we can't help but think what a vast influence you have had on not only us, but so many people. You are a beautiful person with such a light about you. We will miss going on fun adventures with you and Chris. We will miss your contagious laugh that never fails to put a smile on our faces. We can't wait until the day we will see you again. We are praying for your family and want you to know that we love you dearly.

Happy Birfday Boy!

Ziggy had a wonderful birthday full of toys, rawhides and a very small piece of birthday cake. :) We can't believe he is two! Ziggy has a way of making any day better by just being around him. We just love the boy.

Guess who's turning 2 tomorrow?
